Thyroid Support

My most common visit with a person thinking they have a thyroid problem starts with them telling me they were told by other doctors that their lab results are normal, which means their symptoms of fatigue, weight gain, always being cold, and constipation must be due to some other mysterious yet-to-be-uncovered condition.

Every individual person has their own setpoint of their metabolism. If two people measure the same on a thyroid (TSH) blood test they might have different symptoms and require different dosages for treatment even though they are at the same level. We mistakenly take the same approach to people who have “normal” looking thryoid results even though they have thyroid symptoms. I offer a thorough thyroid evaluation including serum TSH, T4, T3 and thyroid antibodies to best assess your current metabolic status and help decide if you need to support your thyroid.

I have done advanced training and certification through Restorative Medicine to best diagnose and treat Hypothyroidism, Hashimoto’s disease, Subclinical Hypothyroidism, Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome and Graves Disease.

I see many times people who are on thyroid replacement still experience hypothyroid symptoms and often need prescription adjustments or medication changes to achieve symptom resolution.

Prospective patients also looking to change prescription Synthroid to natural Desiccated Thyroid or Sustained-release T3 can effectively do so under my guidance in prescribing thyroid hormones.
